Beat hackers at their own game

Google has built a web application that you can hack….  If you follow the tutorial it goes through all the attack vectors providing hints on how to exploit them. Oh and then it tells you how to not fall into the same trap.

Looks like essential reading/play for all web developers, old and young.

Fluid

Fuild is probably the best application I encountered in a while. It allows to bring internet web page to your desktop and to treat them as application. For instance if you use gmail you could create an application for launching gmail only. No need to go through the web browse to read your emails. Just launch your Gmail app. This would also work for Google calendar, Flickr, any thing based on the web but which you think deserves to be an application. Give it a try you’ll never look back.

Google Analytics University

Knowing where the users are coming from, what type of browser they are using, how long they stayed on a page is becoming more and more important. This link provides information through video tutorials on how the different features of google analytics are working (profiles, filtering, goals…).

Mozilla introduces ubiquity

If you are a MAC user and used quicksilver then you will love this. Ubiquity is a tool which allows to use the web with commands and it also allow the user to create their own mashup. This could be the next type of navigation for the web.
